Overall, this movie had a little bit of everything: love, violence, adventure, music and it is a definite must watch. All Songs are good especially 'Adiye Kolluthe' and 'Ava Enna' songs are excellent to hear. A romantic drama movie well executed by Gautham Menon with a soothing music from Harris Jayaraj.

Only negative thought: I really wished that there were subtitles so that we could understand what Hindi words were spoken. Vaaranam Aayiram is one of his best performances and he provided full justice to the role. Although it was not very fast paced, the creative sounds made it worthwhile. I felt that she was thrown in but there needed to be something to make the movie going. It has been a long time since I have seen her and her presence made the movie pleasant. Despite the limited screen time, she really made a strong impact. Redention of Vaaranam Aayiram was included in Ilaiyaraajas score for Kamal Hassans movie Hey Ram, with Shrivilliputhur Andal being acknowledged as one of the lyricists for the movie Notes edit Rao, Shivshankar (31 March 2013). With big time expectations on this Surya-Gautham combination after Kaaka Kaaka, everyone hopes the same magic is interwined by Gautham and his excellent team of. The album was under production from one-and-a-half years and featured seven songs written by Thamarai and Na. The movie with the renowned actors lets us know that Vaaranam Aayiram is likely to be the best of Gautham with some great music by Harris Jeyaraj and breath taking camera by Ratnavelu. His attitude kept changing so it held the audience's eyes. Vaaranam Aayiram is the soundtrack album for the 2008 film of the same name directed by Gautham Menon, and features music by Harris Jayaraj, following four successive soundtracks with the director. His expressions and flawless Hindi and Tamil made this movie very enjoyable as well as his dual role. He really dug into the characters' role equally. As for the actors: They really created magic with this movie. Most movies always talk about mother as the motivation and somehow portray the dad as military style attitude or just thrown in for show but this movie was all about a dad's motivation, a dad who was living and compassionate. What I really like about this movie was that it showed how fathers are important as well. This movie was well made with nice melodious songs.
